Situated along the Patapsco River, this amenity space reimagines an existing multi-purpose building as a relaxing lounge area with a Mediterranean feel. GriD was tasked with designing boater amenities for patrons of the waterfront site’s 400 slips. The renovations included a central lounge and gym, as well as a generous courtyard with a pool and bathhouse. Taking inspiration from the adjacent Baltimore waterfront, coastal themes informed a warm interior, with an emphasis on wood and light-toned surfaces. Special attention was given to keeping the space open and airy while working within the constraints of the tight existing footprint. The resulting interventions transformed the site into a destination location, offering expansive views of the marina.
